Imprinting the Vision


This course is an on-site class conducted at Roever Learning and Resource Center on Eagles Summit Ranch located in Westcliffe Colorado. This is an analysis and application of homiletical and rhetorical skills pertaining to public speaking, (i.e. evangelism). Prominence is placed upon methods of construction for the message.

This course will utilize a variety of instruction methods which will include online instruction, on-site presentations by M. David Roever, D.D. and others as well asboutdoor experiences and activities.

This wilderness experience provides the perfect setting to rediscover one's self. In addition, students will spend time enjoying challenging yet fun activities, such as hiking, four-wheeling in the high mountain passes, horseback riding and quiet evenings around the fire.

Course Objectives

Upon the successful completion of this course the student should be able to:

  1. Fearlessly address an audience, regardless of size or diversity, at any time with a relevant message.
  2. Evaluate and be inspired through personal tragedy to develop a message of triumph.
  3. Be a public speaker with persuasion.
  4. Identify and overcome the three (3) greatest fears in public speaking as pertains to the individual student:
    1. Fear of abandonment
    2. Fear of rejection
    3. Fear of failure

On Site Class

All classes for this course will be held at Eagles Summit Ranch, in a secluded environment of crisp mountain air, under the shadow of the Sangre de Cristo (Blood of Christ) Mountains.
